Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 225g mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 60ml white wine
- 120ml double cream
- 60ml finely grated Parmesan
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In the same pan you browned the steak in, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook, without disturbing, until golden and browned. Flip and continue cooking.
- Stir in the garlic and cook until just soft. Deglaze with the wine, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Once the wine has reduced slightly, stir in the cream and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened to your liking.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the Parmesan. Taste and season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
